What brand and model tire are you looking at? keep in mind that not all tires are created equal. Some tires run "wider" and have larger section widths than others- even if they're all the same 255/35-20 size.

My recommendation? Stick with the 20x8.5 +30et. the 20x9.5 COULD fly, im sure you'd have to run a 245/30-20 and stretch it to clear the inside. at that point you'll sacrifice some ride quality at the expense of a cool looking setup so...
